COMMUNITY GARDEN
Waiting for seeds to sprout and sprouts to flower requires patience, which is a lesson we have learned with regard to our community garden. The initial plan was to transform the hill on the northern side of our property from a field of weeds into a vegetable garden.
While a transformation is still taking place, albeit more slowly than we would like, thanks to an infestation of Japanese knotweed, the garden will now be relocated to a greenhouse in front of the church, and we will plant wildflowers all over the hill. This transformation is made possible by a generous grant from the Hudson River Presbytery.
